GroupWise migration to Exchange 2003

In the following procedures, it is assumed that you are running a Novell NetWare 6.0 server in a TCP/IP-based environment and Novell GroupWise 5.5. To prepare the Novell GroupWise environment, you must install and configure Novell NetWare client and Novell GroupWise client (version 4.6 or later) software on the future Exchange 2003 server, and deploy the Novell GroupWise API Gateway version 4.1. You also must create an external foreign domain for your Exchange 2003 organization, and you must configure the link table of the Novell GroupWise domain to connect the external foreign domain to your GroupWise domain using the API Gateway, so that GroupWise can route messages to Exchange users.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the connector server meets the following requirements:

Is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Has network connectivity to the server running Novell GroupWise
Can resolve the name of the server running Novell NetWare

Ensure that the server running Novell NetWare and Novell GroupWise has the following software installed:

Novell NetWare 3.x or later
Novell NetWare Administrator
Novell GroupWise 4.1 or later
