How use use groupwise archive function within Groupwise. Archiving mail copies items, such as mail, appointments, etc. from the server and saves them to a specified location. Archiving allows you to access these items at any time and saves space on the server.  Before you can archive the items you must specify a folder location for the archive.

To specify the archive folder location, you Step Action
  1. Open GroupWise. 
  2. Click on the Tools menu from the toolbar.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Double-click on Environment.
  5. Select the File Location tab
  6. In the Archive Directory text box type the file location or Click the yellow folder icon to the right to browse to the folder location for your archive.
  7. Select the folder for your archive and click OK.
  8. Click OK, you will return to the GroupWise options window.
  9.  Click Close. Setting Archive Options Once you have specified the archive location, you can set GroupWise to archive your mail automatically. 
To archive your mail automatically, you Step Action
  1. Open GroupWise (if not already open).
  2. Click on the Tools menu.
  3. Click Options, the options window will open.
  4. Double-click on Environment
  5. Select the Cleanup tab where you set your Archiving options.
  6.  Specify the number of days after the item is delivered or completed that you want it to be archived as indicated in the following table. Option Select # of daysMail and phone Auto archive after 90 days Appointment, task, and reminder note Auto archive after 90 days Empty trash Automatic after 14 days 
  7. Click OK which returns you to the Options window. 8 Click Close.
